Vision/ Mission

In Primary school level, the focus is on the development of the child through experiential learning. The primary school years are recognized as a period of rapid development and transition and so the teaching learning strategies are designed keeping in mind the social, physical, emotional and cultural needs of the growing child. Teachers take special care in maintaining close relationships with children, attempting to keep abreast of the individual differences as well as the changing patterns in interpersonal relationship. Concepts and skills are learnt

through interactive classroom teaching, group classes, group discussions, projects, role play, drama, recitation, quiz, audio-visual media, laboratory work and field trips. Students are encouraged to engage in discussions and think for themselves and arrive at conclusions thereby enabling them to develop their problem solving skills and divergent thinking . Students with specific difficulties in subject areas are supported through  remedial classes by the teachers and through buddy help. Arts and crafts, sports, drama and music are an integral part of the school programme.

In the Secondary school, the children are encouraged to become more independent in their learning; however, a close and supportive relationship continues to exist between students and teachers. Opportunities for the pursuit of individual interests in the form of research projects, involvement in community development programme and environment-related works are provided. The academic curriculum is balanced by arts and crafts, sports and participation in a variety of activities like value based assembly, group classes, integrated projects,

dramatization, group discussions, seminar, power point presentation, chart and model making, field trips and educational tour, designing of experiments, hands on experiments, participation in activities such as afforestation, community health and education is also encouraged and organized. Scholastic activities are carefully planned integrating lifeskills and values for the overall development of the child. Svis believes in uniqueness of each child and so students learn in a non threatening atmosphere without any reward or punishment as all are winners. Counselling and guidance is provided by clinical psychologists to the students to help them combat with their emotional problems and stress and help them overcome it. Our students are engaged in fostering social consciousness and global awareness and equipped with the right temperament and skills, enabling them to excel in life after school.

At the kindergarten grade level, the focus is on activity based learning. The teaching processes are sewn to the child’s cognitive development and abilities, so that he/she explores the new world as new ideologies and skills are mastered. The children enjoy the joys of music, singing and dancing, art and craft, pottery, yoga, games etc. The smart board integrated spacious classrooms enables various learning aids like Audio-Visual content, demonstrations, simulations, rhymes, etc. The conducive climate in and around the school, various theme based

activities such as story narration, reader’s theatre, role play, concept mapping, rhymes, field trips, projects, action songs, nature walk, sand play and celebrations ensure holistic development of the children by comprehensively addressing their needs for care, health, nutrition and well-being. In addition, we offer learning in a naturally enriched green and vibrant campus to develop their intelligence, personality and social behavior in a joyful and stress free environment.
