In the Secondary school, the children are encouraged to become more independent in their learning; however, a close and supportive relationship continues to exist between students and teachers. Opportunities for the pursuit of individual interests in the form of research projects, involvement in community development programme and environment-related works are provided. The academic curriculum is balanced by arts and crafts, sports and participation in a variety of activities like value based assembly, group classes, integrated projects, dramatization, group discussions, seminar, power point presentation, chart and model making, field trips and educational tour, designing of experiments, hands on experiments, participation in activities such as afforestation, community health and education is also encouraged and organized. Scholastic activities are carefully planned integrating life skills and values for the overall development of the child. SviS believes in uniqueness of each child and so students learn in a non threatening atmosphere without any reward or punishment as all are winners. Counselling and guidance is provided by clinical psychologists to the students to help them combat with their emotional problems and stress and help them overcome it. Our students are engaged in fostering social consciousness and global awareness and equipped with the right temperament and skills, enabling them to excel in life after school.
